The Countdown

The countdown is on for the Launch of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 on November 7th,2005. As the clock ticks to this historic release, My paranoia only grows worse. All right paranoia is the word, Accepted i’m getting a bit over worked about this thing but thats how exciting this Microsoft Visual Studio really is…

Apart from the Visual Studio and its assortment of bugs(as with all Microsoft products!), we also have SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk 2006 releasing on the same date. What change these products are going to bring to the world remains yet to be seen. The immediate and widespread adoption is still a question as the conversion costs would still be high and the degree of productivity still though high would have to be proved high enough to justify the conversion costs and re-training costs.

Another countdown that is on is that of my practical exams that are due on November 8th, 2005. I’m pretty scared regarding those too.Though the practical exercises are the easy ones, the ones I am worried about are the viva sessions, where you have to answer questions by an external examiner, who will ask you any subject from any question, OOPS! any question from any subject. The very thought gives me shivers. Don’t know what I’ll do. I’ll give u an update on that later as time goes…
